30 Years and Still Going Strong

For the past 30 years, Stokes Farm has been providing New Yorkers with home-grown produce at the Union Square Greenmarket. As one of the original 12 farmers in the Greenmarket system, Stokes Farm has acquired quite a following of dedicated customers who come to see us every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We have come a long way in the past 30 years, from firewood and cut flowers to geraniums, fresh cut herbs and a large diversity line of Jersey Fresh produce.

As part of the 30th anniversary celebration, Farmer Ron Binaghi Jr. has participated in a number of events discussing how the Greenmarket program has changed the way he farms. Now you can follow along with the TV, Radio and Newspaper coverage below, as Ron describes how Greenmarket kept Stokes Farm in business and allowed the farm to change with the times to become a largely consumer-driven business.

New York City Greenmarkets

We've expanded past Union Square. Now you can also find Stokes Farm at the Tribeca Greenmarket on Saturdays and the Tucker Square Greenmarket on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Thank You!!!

We would like to say thank you to all of the customers who have supported us for the past 30 years at Union Square. Through the cold and heat, hurricanes and subway crashes, you still come down to the market to see what's new, chat or just hang out. We appreciate your friendship.
